Johjo London UK Modern Slavery Act Statement
Johjo London is fully committed to upholding the highest legal and ethical standards across all aspects of its operations and supply chain. We strive to promote ethical practices and fair working conditions in every part of our business.
Our Business and Supply Chain
Johjo London is a UK-based fashion brand dedicated to creating contemporary, timeless designs across a range of products, including clothing, accessories, and footwear. We prioritise partnerships with responsible suppliers globally, ensuring they uphold the rigorous standards required to deliver high-quality, ethically produced products.
Policies and Accountability
We have implemented a comprehensive Vendor Code of Conduct that outlines our expectations for legal and ethical behaviour within our supply chain. This Code is based on internationally recognised principles, including those set by the International Labour Organization (ILO). Key areas covered include:
- The prohibition of forced and child labour
- Non-discrimination
- Fair wages and working hours
- Health and safety
- Freedom of association
- Environmental protection
Employees and suppliers are encouraged to report any breaches of our Code of Conduct or applicable laws. Johjo London provides a confidential reporting mechanism, including an independent ethics hotline, where concerns can be raised anonymously. Suppliers can also report issues via email at customerservice@joh-jo.com. We investigate all reports and strictly prohibit retaliation against individuals who raise concerns in good faith.
Supply Chain Risk Assessment and Due Diligence
Before entering into any partnership with a supplier or subcontractor, we conduct comprehensive risk assessments, including evaluating the risk of forced and child labour. Suppliers that fail to meet our stringent standards are not approved.
We work with third-party organisations to support our due diligence processes, which continue throughout the relationship with our suppliers.
Supplier Management
All Johjo London suppliers are required to acknowledge and comply with our Vendor Code of Conduct. Suppliers must provide detailed documentation to confirm the origin of raw materials and the production processes used at each facility.
To ensure ongoing compliance, we conduct regular independent audits of our priority suppliers. New suppliers are audited before any orders are placed, while existing suppliers are subject to regular audits to monitor their adherence to our ethical standards.
Measuring Performance
We continuously review the effectiveness of the measures we have implemented to combat slavery and human trafficking within our supply chains. Our policies and procedures are regularly evaluated to ensure continuous improvement.
Board Approval
